BQC Quarries

BQC Quarries is a partnership of three local families and has been hard rock quarrying in the Burdekin, Bowen and Whitsunday regions for over 40 years.  In that time they have provided products for all major infrastructure projects in the area in a professional manner meeting schedules and specification. 

BQC Quarries employs local people and utilises local contractors whenever possible to maintain its operations.  Similarly local contractors are also employed to deliver its product when required.

With a range of mobile and static crushing and screening equipment, BQC can satisfy any demand for multiple projects.  BQC is capable of supplying in excess of 1,000,000 tonne per annum from multiple locations. The organisation has qualified and experienced personnel on site to provide clients with information on products, delivery schedules, testing data or quotes.  BQC is third party Quality Assured and has the ability to consistently produce a quality product within the time frame requested by the customer.  BQC endeavours to develop long standing relationships with all customers and maintains close contact with relevant personnel during projects to ensure timely supply of materials. 

BQC Quarries long standing association with several crushing, screening and equipment hire companies means that if higher production output is required equipment can be readily hired to augment BQC’s existing capabilities.  Each quarry has a Pugmill with a throughput of up to 300tonne/hour.  There is also a 60t calibrated weighbridge at each site as well as a large fleet of articulated Dump Trucks, Wheel Loaders and Excavators.  A small laboratory also exists at each site to conduct in-house testing for quality control during production.  All completed stockpiles have further testing by NATA approved laboratories prior to release.
